Stagnant + Hibernate

I'm sorry to say I've been neglecting my website and blog recently. I have plans to reorganize it and redesign it soon which unfortunately has left me less motivated to keep it updated. Excuses! I launched this site not even a year ago and have realized ways to rework in order to make it more efficient and organized. My goal is to relaunch it in the beginning of May. Stay tuned! Debra Broz from Pump Project invited me to submit two pieces to The Drawing Show which opened on March 3rd. I used the invitation to this show as deadline and make a couple new pieces:

Stagnant: This juvenile crocodile is curled up as if he is still in the comfort of his egg. He doesn't seem to realize that it has long cracked and fallen away.

Hibernate: Garden Dormice can spend about 6 months a year hibernating, this little dormouse has curled herself up to hibernate. She has patient and faith that winter will pass brining a new spring and summer in it's wake.

I really enjoy building my frames. I order the parts for them from West Fall Framing, I stain the wood, and then put the work together in an archival manner.

Thanks again to Debra Broz for the opportunity!
